Kaustubh Ganbote and Santosh Jagdale of Pune were killed in Pahalgam terrorist attack. The loss of the breadwinner has brought great hardship to the family. CM Devendra Fadnavis met their family members in Pune on Saturday. Fadnavis has now said in a statement that he will try to provide government jobs to the family members.
Chief Minister Fadnavis visited Ganbote’s residence in Kondhwa and Jagdale’s residence in Karvenagar yesterday and consoled the families. On this occasion, Fadnavis consoled Jagdale’s wife Pragati, daughter Asawari and mother Manikbai Jagdale as well as their other family members and learned about the entire sequence of events that took place in Pahalgam.
People would not have lost their lives if there was proper security : Ganbote Family
If there was proper security there, people would not have lost their lives, the Ganbote family complained to the Chief Minister. Ganbote family said that we and other tourists were sitting outside the hotel. Screams started after hearing the sound of gunfire. The tourists started running, so the terrorists opened fire on the tourists from a distance. Kaustubh Ganbote was also among them. He died in this unfortunate incident.
Chief Minister Fadnavs visited Ganbote’s residence around 4 pm. At that time, Minister of State Madhuri Misal, MLA Yogesh Tilekar, City President Dheeraj Ghate, Harshvardhan Patil were also present.
Lack of Security, Emergency Arrangements :
The family members of the deceased said that despite knowing that thousands of tourists visit Kashmir and there are constant attacks by terrorists here, the government has not provided security and has not provided immediate medical treatment.
