Gaurav Ahuja Arrested: On the morning of March 8, 2025, around 7:30 AM, a shocking incident unfolded at Shastrinagar Chowk, Yerawada, Pune. Gaurav Ahuja and his friend Bhagyesh Oswal stopped their BMW in the middle of the road, causing a traffic obstruction. Ahuja then stepped out and urinated on the road divider. When bystanders questioned him, he allegedly made obscene gestures and reportedly engaged in an even more inappropriate act before fleeing. The disturbing act was recorded by locals and quickly went viral, sparking public outrage. Authorities soon identified Ahuja, who was already known to law enforcement due to his involvement in a 2021 cricket betting racket. Police detained Oswal and sent him for a medical examination, but Ahuja initially managed to evade arrest.
Later that evening, Ahuja released a video admitting his wrongdoing and apologizing. Hours later, on Saturday night, he surrendered to the Karad police in Satara district. After a medical check-up, Pune police officially arrested him at 7:50 AM on March 9, 2025.
Both Ahuja and Oswal now face charges for public nuisance, indecent behavior, and obstructing traffic. The case has triggered widespread condemnation, with many demanding strict action to prevent such public misconduct in the future.
