Eknath Shinde Halts All Meetings, MLA Gathering Postponed Ahead of Oath Ceremony
Mumbai : Caring Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was admitted to a hospital in Thane yesterday after falling ill in Dare village. He had called a meeting of Shiv Sena MLAs today, which has now been canceled. All other meetings scheduled for today have also been canceled. Sources have revealed that the cancellation of these meetings is due to the doctor’s advice for Shinde to rest. Shinde will be staying at his Thane residence today.
A meeting between Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar was scheduled for today in Mumbai following their Delhi meeting. This meeting was to discuss whether Shinde would accept the Deputy Chief Minister’s post, whether the Shiv Sena would get the Home Ministry as demanded by Shinde, and the formula for the cabinet expansion. However, with Shinde canceling all meetings today, the Maha Vikas Aghadi meeting has been postponed.
Meanwhile, activities have intensified at Devendra Fadnavis’ Sagar bungalow. Leaders who are in the running for ministerial positions are arriving at the bungalow. Even today, leaders visited the Sagar bungalow to meet Fadnavis. Chandrakant Patil, Rahul Narvekar, Girish Mahajan, and Parvati MLA Madhuri Misal visited Fadnavis’ residence. The names of Misal, Patil, Narvekar, and Mahajan are being discussed for ministerial positions.
