According to traders, as the month of Ramadan progresses, the market is getting more crowded. With this, ittar sales are likely to increase further in the run-up to Eid. Traditional oud and sandalwood-based perfumes were in high demand during the first week of Ramadan. However, the sale of exotic perfumes with floral scents increases rapidly during the last ten days and on the eve of Eid.
Consumer interest is growing towards light and natural fragrances. Perfumes with a blend of mogra, rose, jasmine are in particular demand.
