Defense sources said that as soon as the Indian Air Force plane entered Myanmar’s territory, the pilot suspected that the aircraft’s navigation system was showing the wrong direction. The pilot suspected that there might have been a cyber attack on this system. This is called GPS spoofing. He also noticed that the plane was changing direction. In such cases, the backup navigation system is used. The pilot immediately switched the plane to this system. This system allows the pilot to not depend on external signals. Therefore, the chances of the plane going astray are less.
