Sanjay Raut Accuses Ajit Pawar of MP Poaching Scheme

Mumbai : BJP Plotting to Divide NCP : In a dramatic political accusation, Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Sanjay Raut has claimed that the BJP is orchestrating a plan to destabilize the NCP led by Sharad Pawar. Raut alleges that Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has been tasked with persuading 5-6 NCP MPs to switch allegiances.

The controversy erupted following a meeting between Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar in New Delhi, which sparked speculation about potential political realignments. According to Raut, the BJP has given Ajit Pawar a clear directive: break the NCP(SP) if he wants his leaders to secure positions in the central ministry.

This accusation follows recent statements by BJP spokesperson Pravin Darekar, who suggested that some NCP MPs are in communication with the BJP and might join the Mahayuti alliance. The political tension comes in the wake of the recent Assembly elections, where NCP(SP) secured only 10 seats, a significant drop from its previous performance.

Raut emphatically stated that Sharad Pawar, whom he describes as a “secular leader,” would never collaborate with a party that seeks to divide people along religious lines. NCP state president Sunil Tatkare, however, downplayed the speculation, stating that their recent meeting was simply to wish Sharad Pawar on his birthday.

The ongoing political drama highlights the complex and volatile nature of Maharashtra’s current political landscape, with allegations of political maneuvering and potential horse-trading taking center stage. (BJP Plotting to Divide NCP)
