Beed Murder Case: A massive, all-party protest was organized in Beed today demanding the immediate arrest of the accused in the brutal murder case of Santosh Deshmukh, the sarpanch of Massajog in Beed district. Nationalist Congress Party leaders and MLAs Jitendra Awhad and Prakash Solanke, BJP MLA Suresh Dhas, MLA Abhimanyu Pawar, former MP Sambhajiraje Chhatrapati, and Maratha reservation agitator Manoj Jarange Patil participated in the protest.

Two primary demands were made during the protest: the immediate arrest of the three absconding accused in the sarpanch murder case and Valmik Karad, who is absconding in an extortion case, and the removal of Dhananjay Munde from the state cabinet until the entire investigation is complete. BJP MLA Abhimanyu Pawar, known as a confidante of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, issued a warning to the government.

“The brutality with which Santosh Deshmukh was murdered is unprecedented in Maharashtra’s history,” said MLA Abhimanyu Pawar. “We demand justice – the accused must face the harshest punishment. This outrage transcends Beed; it echoes across the state. I, as a member of the government, warn that inaction will ignite widespread protests.”

Addressing the crowd, Pawar emphasized, “I pay my respects to Santosh Deshmukh on behalf of Latur. We, the MLAs, stand united with Beed. Our voices have been heard in the assembly and on the streets, and we will continue to fight. This is not a political or communal protest, but a cry for justice from a suffering people. I have come from Latur to demand justice. Regardless of the accused’s stature, including Valmik Karad, we will not rest until they are apprehended. Failure to act will lead to similar protests in Latur and beyond.” (Beed Murder Case)
