In the Baramati Division, 6,735 pre-dispute cases have been filed for settlement, including 6,649 low-pressure type and 86 high-pressure type cases. Previously, legal notices were issued to all these customers by Mahavitaran. According to the Abhay Scheme, 100% interest and delayed payment charges will be waived, and only the principal amount will need to be paid. According to the Abhay Scheme, customers making a one-time payment of the original outstanding amount will receive a 10% discount for low-pressure customers and a 5% discount for high-pressure customers. Additionally, there is an option to pay 30% of the principal amount initially and the remaining 70% in six interest-free installments. The option of a new electricity connection on demand is also available.

Moreover, 193 cases filed under Sections 135 and 138 of the Indian Electricity Act 2003 under the Mahavitaran Baramati Division have been placed in this Lok Adalat for settlement. In cases where the charge sheet for electricity theft has not been filed in court, the concerned consumers can also reach a settlement in the Lok Adalat in pre-filing electricity theft cases. Consumers and defaulters have been appealed to participate in large numbers in the National Lok Adalat to be held on December 14th for electricity theft cases. Chief Engineer of Mahavitaran Ankush Nale and Superintending Engineer Deepak Lahamge have appealed to take the opportunity to resolve criminal cases by reaching a settlement through this Lok Adalat.
