Aviation Minister Murlidhar Mohol on Shirdi Airport : Minister for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol has announced that night landing operations at Shirdi’s Sai Baba International Airport will be fully operational within the next fifteen days. During his visit to Shirdi after attending the evening aarti, Mohol shared several significant developments for the airport’s expansion.
The upgrades come following a meeting between Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Water Resources Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil with Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the airport’s challenges. In response, Shah has already directed an increase in CISF personnel at the airport last week.

Key announcements include:
– Full night landing capabilities to be operational within 15 days after resolving technical issues
– Plans to increase domestic flight services
– Introduction of international flight operations
– Inclusion in the UDAN scheme to make air travel more accessible to common devotees
Mohol also revealed that a crucial meeting is scheduled for January 6th in Mumbai, where senior civil aviation ministry officials will meet with Chief Minister Fadnavis to address and resolve challenges facing airports across Maharashtra.
Additionally, the minister announced plans to launch Mumbai-Solapur flight services soon, benefiting devotees traveling to Vitthal Temple and Tuljapur’s Bhavani Mata shrine.
