Indian Army Boosts Operations in Poonch, Intensifies Patrolling in High-Altitude Areas
Srinagar: The Indian Army has asserted that it has significantly enhanced its operational capabilities and impact in Jammu and Kashmir over the past period. The army has also stepped up patrolling and established posts in the higher reaches of the mountainous regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the Poonch Link-Up Day, Lieutenant General M.V. Suchindra Kumar, the Northern Army Commander in Jammu, stated that they are well aware of the remaining terrorism in Rajouri and Poonch, which is fueled by external forces. He emphasized that from their perspective, it is crucial to keep in mind that the Indian Army, the people of Poonch, the police, and civil agencies are solely focused on peace in Rajouri and Poonch and will continue to strive for it.
The Northern Army Commander further stated that everyone has witnessed the Indian Army’s substantial increase in operational capabilities and impact in recent times. He mentioned that the Indian Army has intensified patrolling and established new posts in the higher reaches of the mountainous regions of Rajouri and Poonch.
The Northern Army Commander expressed satisfaction that the coordination between the people and the security forces has reached a new level as a result of these operations. On the occasion of the Poonch Link-Up Day, he congratulated the people and highlighted the exemplary story of sacrifice and bravery, which is a living example of the cooperation between the Army and the common people.
