Weather in Maharashtra: The state is witnessing a sharp rise in minimum temperature due to the onset of hot winds from the north. Madhya Maharashtra has crossed the 40-degree mark. This includes Jalgaon, Nashik, Solapur, Akola, Amravati, Nagpur, Yavatmal and Wardha in Vidarbha, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Parbhani in Marathwada. Meanwhile, Akola recorded the highest temperature in the state at 43.2 degrees Celsius. The IMD has predicted that the maximum temperature in the state is likely to increase by two to three degrees Celsius in the next two to three days. (Weather in Maharashtra)

Unseasonal rains lashed most parts of the state in the beginning of April. Few areas even received hailstorms. An internal low pressure area had formed from Central India to the south. Maharashtra received rain due to humid winds coming from the Bay of Bengal.
The rain gave some relief from severe heat for a few days, but now the low pressure belt has receded. Hot winds coming from the north. Additionally, due to the increase in humidity in the air, a heat wave has spread in the state. The minimum temperature has also increased by two to three degrees. The Meteorological Department warned that the heat wave will increase in the state in the next few days.
The weather will again take a turn in the country by April 10th. IMD has predicted the possibility of unseasonal rain. There will be light rain along with lightning, strong winds and stormy weather.
