10 Girls Molested By Staff at a Primary Marathi School: A shocking incident of molestation of 10 school girls has come to light from Akola. An employee of Maa Renuka Marathi Primary School in Kaulkhed, Akola city, molested ten young girls. Khadan police have arrested Hemant Chandekar on the basis of a complaint filed by the Women Coordinator of the Child Helpline under the Office of the District and Women and Child Development Officer.

Some female teachers of the school had gone out of the village for training since March 5. The accused was given the responsibility of managing school affairs. He took advantage of the situation and molested ten female students studying in classes 4 to 7. After the teachers returned after completing their training, some of the female students told them about this.
After the employee’s misconduct came to light, the educational institution management ordered the accused not to come to school from March 8. The school principal Pallavi Kulkarni reported this information to the Child Helpline. After that, Harshali Gajbhiye, coordinator of the Child Helpline and the District Women and Child Development Officer’s Office, filed a complaint against the accused on March 30. Based on the complaint received, the Khadan police have registered a case under Sections 74, 75, 8, 9(f)(m) of the Indian Penal Code, Section 10 of POCSO and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2025.
Meanwhile, the Child Helpline submitted the information about this heinous crime to the District Women and Child Development Officer’s Office and the Child Welfare Committee of the district administration. After that, the Child Welfare Committee directed Harshali Gajbhiye of the Child Helpline to register a case.
