It was discovered that a vendor at Pune Railway Station was selling spoiled vada pav. Members of the Pune Rural Railway Passengers Association captured a video of the stall holder and shared it on social media. Despite the sale of spoiled food, neither IRCTC nor the railway administration had conducted any inspections. This was seen as a serious issue regarding passenger safety.
In response, members of the Regional Railway Advisory Committee, Anand Saptarshi, Bibhishan Jadhav, and Dr. Aditya Patkarav, conducted inspections on Friday at Pune, Hadapsar, Chinchwad, and Shivajinagar railway stations along with railway officials. They also went to IRCTC officials to inquire about the issue. Afterward, they visited the stalls and kitchens at Pune and Shivajinagar Railway Stations for an in-depth inspection, with railway officers present as well.
