Maha Shivratri, one of the biggest Hindu festival is near and special arrangements are going on for devotees’ convenience. In this sequence, PMPML (Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd.) has announced to operate special bus services. Maha Shivaratri, which falls on February 26, 2025 this year is celebrated with great enthusiasm across the city.

On this occassion, devotees from across Pune and its nearby areas are expected to travel in large numbers. Pune is home to many ancient Shiv temples and so it attracts devotees in huge numbers. Every year, devotees visit popular temples such as Nilkantheshwar near BSF Center, Panshet; Baneshwar near Narsapur; and Ghoradeshwar Mandir Paitha in Shankarwadi.
Keeping the ratio of passangers on this auspicious day, PMPML has arranged both regular and additional bus services.
Special Bus Service Route Guidelines :
1. Katraj Snake Park to Baneshwar, Cheladi Phata: Total 11 buses on this route. Of which, the first bus will depart at 5:30 AM. Each bus will be available on every 20 minutes of interval.
2. Swargate Main Bus Station to Nilkantheshwar, BSF Center, Panshet: Total 14 buses on this route. The first bus will start at 3:30 AM. Each bus will be available on every 10 to 15 minutes of interval.
3. Nigdi, Pawale Chowk to Ghoradeshwar Mandir Paitha, Shankarwadi: Total 24 buses on this route. Of which, the first bus will depart at 5:30 AM. Each bus will be available on every 10 to 15 minutes of interval.
With these announcements, PMPML has made it clear that rest of the regular buses will continue operating without any changes,. These includes bus number 61, 296, 296A, 52A, 228, 305, 341, 342, 368, and 371.
