Lulla Nagar Hookah Bar Case : A Pune policeman, identified as Beat Marshal Harishchandra Rajaram Pawar of Wanowrie Police Station, has been suspended for allegedly accepting monthly bribes from a local restaurant.

The action follows a police raid on “Vegeta – Fine Dine & Lounge” in Lulla Nagar, where hookah pots were seized and a case registered against the owner, Rahul Surekha Jain Singhal.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Singhal had been paying Pawar Rs 6,000 per month to avoid police interference in the illegal sale of hookah.

Following a report from Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Patange, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 5), Dr. Rajkumar Shinde, ordered Pawar’s suspension. (Lulla Nagar Hookah Bar Case)
