Tamhini Ghat Bus Accident : A horrific bus accident occurred at Tamhini Ghat within the jurisdiction of Mangaon Police Station between 9:30 AM and 9:50 AM today. A private bus belonging to Purple Travels, bearing registration number MH14GU3405, overturned on a dangerous curve. Five people, including members of the Jadhav family, lost their lives in this accident.

The deceased have been identified as Sangita Dhananjay Jadhav, Gaurav Ashok Darade, Shilpa Pradeep Pawar, Vandana Jadhav, and an unidentified man.
Twenty-seven people sustained injuries in the accident and were immediately rushed to Mangaon Rural Hospital.
The Jadhav family from Lohgaon, Pune, was traveling to Birwadi, Mahad, for a wedding ceremony when this accident occurred. Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver lost control of the bus on a dangerous curve, leading to the accident.
Police and rescue teams have reached the accident site and rescue operations are underway.
